FI 491 Sec 005: Starting and Running a Business

For students looking to launch a new enterprise, or just develop a deeper understanding of how small business work from a financial perspective, this course will teach students to develop financial models for a fictitious business and then run the business and respond to changing environments and unexpected events. Students will learn to prepare cash-based budgets, pro forma financing statements and explain the impact of different financing choices on growth and shareholder equity.
